Christmas Market

Today was sorta cool. I got my first Xmas present (yay coffee! and pretty coffee mugs!), saw some good friends, and ended up at the Vancouver Christmas Market.

Yes, that Vancouver Christmas Market.

Aside from the oddness* of paying $5 cover to get into the shindig, it was pretty neat. A mix of craft/gift booths and food booths, with a fun atmosphere.

We wandered around for a bit. We noted the long sausage line (and made a joke) and noted the sausage prices (and made a joke). We had a cuppa Gluhwein (which is the German word for mulled wine served by hot German guys). We had a bratwurst (and made a sausage joke). I bought my mom a Christmas present from the booth that caught on fire.  I took some crappy pics on my blackberry. And scene.

So, as the blog states, pictures or it didn’t happen:

* I was thinking about the Christmas Cover issue, and considering the amount of security and other liquor-licence-related costs, plus portapotty and venue rental, it makes sense. (But if you go before 2pm on a weekday, cover for an adult is $2 fyi)
